Gallery quality on high-quality canvas
Ready to hang

A grid-like structure of fire-formed elements spreads across the surface, reminiscent of rising landscape fragments. Monochrome pigments form relief-like textures that appear like geological strata or growing terrains.

Each segment displays a variation of compaction, movement, and deposition. The surface appears both systematic and vibrant—as if a process of growth and formation were dividing into individual image fields and reassembling itself.

As Burning Canvas, the work unfolds a special spatial presence in various formats.

Rising Terrains is based on the original work "Rising Terrains", Mixed Media with Fire and Pigment on Canvas, from the cycle Pyrographic Landscapes.

Part of the Burning Canvas Series by Thomas Girbl.
