Solsticelight (2020) is an original light object by Thomas Girbl.

The work revolves around perspective and orientation – those moments when light, space, and perception come into harmony. Inspired by the solstices and archaic sites like Stonehenge, it evokes the impression of a timeless reference point between humanity and the cosmos.

Blue and green tones unfold a dialogue between earth and vastness, while vertical structures recall mythical markings in space – traces of presence that move between landscape and meaning.

Fire, pigment, and fragments of 24-karat gold leaf condense into a multifaceted surface where light does not appear static but acts cyclically and rhythmically – as part of a larger, recurring context.

The circular form bundles this movement: a closed system where time, space, and energy meet in a calm, concentrated field.
