"Surf of Fire" is an original burning picture by Thomas Girbl from the series "Pyrographic Landscapes." In this square composition, fire becomes the drawing force: pigment and controlled burn marks form a wave of flame instead of water. Dynamic layers meet charred texture, creating a tension-filled surface between movement and solidification.
As in many of Girbl's works, the element of fire is used not destructively, but creatively – energy becomes visible, heat becomes structure. A powerful, unique piece with a strong spatial presence.
